A Speech and Language Screening:
- Is the first step in identifying speech & language disorders
- Rules out areas of concern with just a brief visit (10-15 minutes)
- Gives peace of mind to families when developmental delays are ruled out
- Assists with planning and direction when areas of need are identified
- Provides an opportunity for family education
- Opens the door to early intervention
- Identifies specific areas of need
- Streamlines the diagnostic process
- Identifies potentially overlooked concomitants (e.g., influence of articulation and/or language delays on fluency disturbance)

- Phonological processing / phonemic awareness
- Receptive / Expressive Language development

- Vocal health and vocal resonance
- Stuttering / speech fluency
- Early Autism screening using the MCHAT
