A Speech and Language Screening:

• Is the first step in identifying speech & language disorders
• Rules out areas of concern with just a brief visit (10-15 minutes)
• Gives peace of mind to families when developmental delays are ruled out
• Assists with planning and direction when areas of need are identified
• Provides an opportunity for family education
• Opens the door to early intervention

• Identifies potentially overlooked concomitants (e.g., influence of articulation and/or language delays on fluency disturbance)
